The best last day of the Year

20 and 1/2 years later Rigby loaded me and our "Fab Five" in the burb and we hit the road- San Francisco or bust... New Year's Road trip.  We spent the last day of 2015 retracing the steps of our honeymoon in San Francisco in 1995.  It has been one of those perfect days.  Love that Rigby brought us here!
The Muir Woods just outside of San Francisco was just what we outdoor small town loving weary travelers needed.  We made our way to San Francisco in one straight shot 12 hour ride. The Muir Woods are part of the few forest of Redwood protected my the Federal Government- a national Park.  We were absolutely captivated by these giants and the lush forest they call home.
These are four of my giants- love these boys and the memories we have made together!
Good timber does not grow with ease/the stronger the wind the stronger the tree/the further the sky the greater the length/the more the storm the more the strength/by sun and cold/by rain and snow/in trees and men good timber grows.
I admire the strength of these "five trees!"
While I have been to the Redwood before,  watching our children discover this forest for the first time was most memorable!
                                             Maleck's favorite tree

Happy 20 years of marriage to us- here's to more adventures!
Look what I found in the forest

Good timber does not grow with ease....

For the Beauty of the earth.... Today I am grateful for God's beauties- He is the master creator!

I love this family mine- thanks Rigby for the best last day of the Year!

Stop Two- Golden Gate Bridge.... As maleck stated, it is one of the seven modern wonders of the world. This marks his third.

                               Our view from Vista Point

The best part of the view!

                                         Thanks for posing for pics
I have waited 20 years to eat this chowder in a bread bowl, and no it is not gluten free..

                              Christmas tree at Pier 39

                                Street musicians at the Pier

                              Breathtaking Fisherman's Wharf

Walking the streets of "San Fran"
                                                  The Segway tour
Another check off along the honeymoon trail- Ghiradelli Square

A perfect memory with a cherry on top!

Love you Rigby- Happy Anniversary, Merry Christmas and                                                           Happy New Year!

                                             Happiest of New Years!

I loved this sight with the sea lions in the forefront, the sailboat and the Golden gate bridge in back ground.
