Maleck,
You arrived in December just in time for Christmas- you were our Christmas… a heartbeat- 10 fingers, 10 toes- prayers answered.
Magnificent, Mighty, mischievous, major general, magical, memorable- our miracle
Hot chocolate, crepes, potato chips, chocolate milk, whipped cream, ham and cheese sandwiches, football, hunting, basketball, bike riding, fort building, wave chasing, adventure bound- our joy!
We prayed you here. In my dreams, I cradled a brown eyed blond baby boy. Big brothers and big sister kneeled pleading - daddy felt your first kick on Father’s day. You taught us patience, love, forgiveness, and hope.
You were born in the wilderness of our affliction.
You hugged big brother good bye and asked God, “Why would you want to separate us?”
You placed small pieces of hay in baby Jesus’s bed. You explained “I felt a bump grow on my heart.”
You know Jesus Maleck- follow him, love him- let the bump on you heart grow bigger-let him lead you home.
Love,
Mommy
