A look at Christmas 2016

I just made my last drop off to school and I return to a quiet house still decorated for Christmas- ugh!  I will have to get to it when I return from the gym.  Unfortunately, I have been on the "see chocolate, eat chocolate diet."  I loved Christmas season 2016.  It was different without our Seleck who is in the mission field.  But service as a missionary profoundly created a differently feeling in our home.  I am so proud of our "Fab 5" for overcoming their own adversity in 2016.  They have each grown and become stronger as they have faced their own set of unique challenges.   I am overwhelmed with gratitude to my Father in Heaven for each of them.  Rigby and I are ever mindful of our blessings of this past year and rejoice in the "Good News of Jesus Christ."

I am ever mindful of those closest to me who have suffered extreme losses this past year.  My best friend next door lost her sister "Weed," my sweet cousins and Aunt lost their father and husband-  His absence is deeply felt in their hearts as well as the hearts of our extended family.  I am every grateful to be a Weaver and rejoice in the strong ties of the 37 grandkids that Max and Ruth call their own-  and then our dear friends buried their sweet father and husband, Alma Anderson, (Trav's mission president).  I can only pray that comfort and peace may comfort their grieving hearts.

I love God and rejoice in his goodness.  Enjoy the photos from our Christmas Gallery.  Happy New Year!
