Thanksgiving 2017

Growing up with four big brothers fairly close in age, there was about a period of  about 7 years that my family wasn't together due to my brothers serving missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I couldn't wait for that moment until all nine of us would sit together on a pew at church again.  There was just something about having that moment of being together that made my little girl heart so happy.

It has been a long time since we left our home on 2nd East- 21 years to be exact, but we took our family and our memories with us and we have added family along the way (7 spouses, 33 grand kids, 4 in law grand kids, and 5 great grand kids.)

Each family member is incredibly unique and talented.  Sitting around the Thanksgiving table yesterday we counted 19 grand kids that will be attending college in the fall of 2018- this is remarkable!
And then we still have our "youngers" that keep life adventurous!  We spent an amazing two and half days playing together!  Ultimate frisbee, card games, movies, basketball, ping pong, Anti-I-over, Monkey in the Middle, Bunko, Fry 'em, rabbit hunting, skeet shooting, hiking spring creek, and batting practice rounded out the holiday.  Grandma and Grandpa even took a few swings at bat- such a treasure!
I love that these cousins LOVE being together!  It helps that they all share common interests and similar goals! They are a great bunch of kids!  We really missed Elder Weaver and Elder Rigby this year!
While these kiddos didn't get to play under the two elm trees on 2nd east together, they still are making memories and playing games!
Enjoy the photos from our family holiday

My sis Jen is such a great example to me of being an awesome mom.  She and my brother Chris are a great team.  BTW these girls can play ball!

" Old Lightning" at bat!

Fun to see this guy at the plate!

This guy has pretty much been my hero since I was tiny!

Excuse the pics of me, but there are seldom any as I am usually taking them.  I loved the chance I go to bat again.  Thanks, Chris!

Believe it or not, it was my mom who taught me how to first play catch and hit the baseball.  She is quite the lady and she can still get her bat on the ball!

Thanks family for the memories- they will keep me warm this winter.  Happy Holidays!
