September 23rd is the first day of Autumn, but for me it starts October 1st. However, September tricks the senses with its subtle array of the color orange as it grabs hold on peaches and pumpkins. Autumn is truly a sensory experience. The fall harvest yields fresh fruit and vegetables. Fresh fruit- apples, pears, and peach engulf the the palette. Kitchens welcome homemade bread, jams and bottled fruit. The leaves change color and delight the eyes and the sense of smell falls in love with the ever changing amazing adventure called Autumn!
